Crestwood Academy maintains limited enrollment and reserves classroom placements for each enrolled student. Because classroom space is intentionally limited, enrollment decisions and tuition commitments are taken seriously.

The first 15 instructional days of a newly enrolled student’s attendance serve as an initial evaluation and adjustment period. During this time, Crestwood Academy may assess a student’s overall transition into the school environment, including factors such as:

• academic readiness and support needs
• ability to participate safely and appropriately in the classroom environment
• adjustment to school routines and expectations
• emotional and behavioral regulation within the school setting
• overall fit within Crestwood Academy’s program, structure, and available support systems

If Crestwood Academy determines during this initial evaluation period that the placement is not an appropriate fit for the student or for the school environment, the school may withdraw the student from enrollment. In those cases, a prorated tuition refund may be issued at Crestwood Academy’s discretion, excluding all nonrefundable fees, deposits, supply fees, and other amounts already paid for services or materials provided.

Parent-Initiated Withdrawal During the Evaluation Period

If a parent or guardian chooses to withdraw a student during the first 15 instructional days, tuition and fees paid are nonrefundable, unless otherwise approved in writing by school administration.

Withdrawal After the Evaluation Period

After the 15-day evaluation period, a minimum two-week written notice of withdrawal is required for all students. Notice must be submitted in writing to school administration.

Tuition obligations continue through the two-week notice period, whether or not the student attends during that time, unless otherwise approved in writing by Crestwood Academy.

Nonrefundable Fees

Application fees, enrollment fees, supply fees, deposits, and other designated school fees are nonrefundable unless otherwise stated by Crestwood Academy in writing.

School-Initiated Withdrawal or Dismissal

Crestwood Academy reserves the right to withdraw or dismiss a student when the school determines that it is unable to appropriately meet the student’s needs within its current program, staffing, structure, or resources, or when a student’s behavior, safety concerns, attendance, family cooperation, or other circumstances significantly interfere with the school environment or the student’s ability to be successful at Crestwood.

In such cases, tuition adjustments or refunds, if any, will be determined by Crestwood Academy based on the specific circumstances and any applicable financial obligations already incurred.
