2026-2027 Enrollment is Now Open!
Education should extend beyond four walls.
Crestwood Academy is committed to building academically strong, emotionally healthy, community-minded children through hands-on learning, service projects, outdoor education, STEM experiences, and family-centered community involvement.
Beyond the Classroom
Building Character, Leadership, Service, and Community
At Crestwood Academy, education extends far beyond academics.
While strong academics remain at the center of everything we do, we believe students also benefit from opportunities to serve others, develop leadership skills, care for their communities, and build meaningful relationships.
Our mission is to help students become not only knowledgeable learners, but also compassionate, responsible, and engaged members of society.
As a nonprofit educational organization, Crestwood Academy is committed to creating opportunities that encourage service, stewardship, leadership, volunteerism, and positive community involvement.
We believe children grow best when they are connected to something larger than themselves.
Developing the Whole Child
Academic achievement is important, but education should also help students develop:
• Responsibility
• Integrity
• Leadership
• Compassion
• Resilience
• Respect
• Service-mindedness
• Civic awareness
Through intentional experiences both inside and outside the classroom, students learn that their actions matter and that they have the ability to make a positive impact on the people and communities around them.
Community Service & Volunteer Opportunities
Service is an important part of the Crestwood Academy culture.
We encourage students and families to participate in meaningful opportunities that strengthen both character and community connection.
Service initiatives may include:
• Community clean-up projects
• Local beautification efforts
• Food and supply drives
• Community appreciation projects
• Volunteer opportunities with local organizations
• Support for literacy and reading initiatives
• Seasonal outreach programs
• Acts of kindness and service-learning activities
These experiences help students develop empathy, responsibility, gratitude, and a greater appreciation for their role within the community.
Environmental Stewardship
We believe children benefit from learning how to care for the world around them.
Through outdoor projects, environmental education, gardening, and stewardship activities, students gain practical experience while developing responsibility, patience, and teamwork.
Students may participate in:
• School garden projects
• Planting and cultivation activities
• Sustainability initiatives
• Outdoor classroom experiences
• Environmental observation projects
• Community beautification efforts
• Nature-based learning opportunities
Our goal is to help students develop an appreciation for environmental responsibility while building practical skills and confidence.
The Crestwood Community Garden
One of Crestwood Academy’s long-term initiatives is the development of a community-centered garden program.
The garden serves as both an educational resource and a service opportunity where students can learn about:
• Gardening and agriculture
• Healthy food systems
• Nutrition and wellness
• Environmental responsibility
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Community sharing and giving
Students gain valuable hands-on experience while learning how individual effort contributes to a larger shared goal.
Seed-to-Sale Learning Initiative
As our garden program grows, Crestwood Academy plans to expand opportunities for students to participate in a seed-to-sale educational experience.
Students may have opportunities to learn about:
• Plant cultivation
• Product development
• Entrepreneurship
• Financial literacy
• Customer communication
• Marketing concepts
• Community engagement
• Responsible business practices
This initiative is designed to help students connect classroom learning with practical life skills and real-world experiences.
Leadership Development
Leadership is intentionally woven throughout the Crestwood Academy experience.
Students are encouraged to:
• Take initiative
• Solve problems
• Work collaboratively
• Serve others
• Demonstrate responsibility
• Practice respectful communication
• Build confidence through participation
We believe leadership is not about titles, it is about character, responsibility, and the willingness to positively influence others.
Family & Community Partnerships
Strong schools are built through strong partnerships.
Crestwood Academy actively seeks meaningful relationships with:
• Families
• Local businesses
• Community organizations
• Volunteers
• Mentors
• Service groups
• Educational partners
These partnerships help create additional opportunities for students while strengthening community connections and support.
A School That Gives Back

Our goal is not simply to educate students.
Our goal is to help develop thoughtful, capable young people who understand the importance of service, stewardship, leadership, and lifelong learning.
We believe strong communities are built when children are given opportunities to contribute, lead, serve, and grow.
